We aren’t huge fans of typical dude ranches – they have too many people, too much chaos, and often they don’t offer up enough “real” riding. But this gem is straight from our own play book of “what we love in our rides” – a maximum of 24 guests in a week, incredible attention to detail, excellent scenery and miles of fun riding.
This ranch is super special as it features “Old West” style cabins but with all the modern day amenities you’d want. The days of riding are fun, varied and scenic and many like to unwind in the hot tub afterward and watch the sunset.
We feel so fortunate to work with this ranch, the owners Kurt and Melissa are carrying on a long tradition of hosting guests onsite and sharing all that they love most about MT. For folks who ride less, or not at all, they also offer fishing, hiking, roping and varied other fun activities.

Rates (6 night stays): $4,350.00 USD per person sharing.
Child rates (ages 6-14) are also available as are non rider rates at $3,350.00 USD.
There is no single cabin available although we do offer two beds for those who share with another same sex person.
3 Night stays (Sun-Wednesday and Wednesday-Sat) available only on June 14-17 and September 20-23 (contact us for rooming options and pricing).

Montana Dude Ranch Vacation: Sample Week Summary
Overview & Daily Routine: This is a flexible, "choose your own adventure" vacation with no set schedule. Every morning at breakfast, you discuss your daily plans with the hosts. Options include half or full-day horseback riding (in Yellowstone, Custer-Gallatin, or Lee Metcalf Wilderness), fly fishing, guided hiking, relaxing, or off-ranch excursions like whitewater rafting. Meals feature hearty made-to-order breakfasts, packed trail lunches (for full-day rides) or ranch lunches, and gourmet dinners. The ranch is BYOB, and evenings feature campfires, hot tub soaking, and incredible stargazing.
Sunday (Arrival): Check-in begins after 4:00 PM, followed by cabin settling and a group tour. At 6:30 PM, enjoy appetizers and happy hour on the patio. A high-quality buffet-style dinner is served at 7:00 PM, followed by plated dessert, a campfire with s'mores, and free time to visit the horses or relax.
Monday (Orientation & First Rides): Breakfast is served from 7:30-8:30 AM while you choose your daily activities. At 8:45 AM, new guests attend barn orientation and get matched with their horses. Due to orientation, rides depart around 10:00 AM for "short" full-day trips (no midday ranch lunch today). At 6:30 PM, enjoy a Margaritas Meet & Greet with music, followed by a patio cookout and campfire.
Tuesday & Wednesday (Custom Adventures): Choose between morning (2-hour) or all-day (3-6 hour) rides departing around 9:00 AM, or opt for other activities. Afternoons are yours to relax, fish, or explore. Evenings feature delicious buffet dinners, and Wednesday nights include gathering for board games in the main lodge.
Thursday (Pizza & Local Events): Daytime activities continue as usual. Dinner is moved up to 6:00 PM for an outdoor feast featuring artisan wood-fired pizza and local Big Sky beer tastings. The early dinner gives guests the option to head into town for the West Yellowstone Rodeo or Big Sky's Music on the Mountain (seasonal).
Friday (Farewell Cookout & Party): Enjoy your final full day of riding and soaking up the Montana scenery. The evening features a grand cookout at the rec hall with steaks, gourmet burgers, and sausages. The celebration includes live local music, lawn games, dummy steer roping, dancing, and a final night of campfire s'mores.
Saturday (Departure): The week concludes with a quick grab-and-go breakfast. Check-out is at 10:00 AM as guests say their goodbyes and head home with great memories.
