We are thrilled to have an inn to inn ride in Croatia – a perfect addition to our stationary version.
This is a fast and fun ride for experienced riders looking for an active pace! You will have fun gallops through the Croatian countryside from an authentic family-owned ranch to the stunning Krka National Park, following the Cetina river and exploring literally untouched scenery. The family owned ranch is idyllic and your hosts Bosko and Dijana will look after all your needs each day as you make your way to the famous Krka National Park.
The ride also features visits to places of historic significance such as Visovac Island with its historic monasteries, and the majestic waterfalls of Skradinski Buk on the Krka river.
And as you ride high up into the mountains, with panoramic views and then head back down to the river valleys for fun canters, you will see what makes Croatia so warm and welcoming. During the week you will meet local families and have the chance to be introduced to traditional cuisine and delicious local produce! The fun and long days in the saddle on these fit, forward horses is paired with great hospitality – it is a week of incredible memories!

Itinerary
Dalmatian Trail Horseback Riding Tour
Experience wild countryside, quaint villages, and the Dinara and Svilaja mountains. Ride along river trails and Lake Peruca, through historical towns like Vrlika and Drnis, and into Krka National Park.
Accommodation & Meals
Lodging: Clean, comfortable guest house and local family homes (ensuite twin/double/triple rooms).
Dining: Freshly prepared local specialties (e.g., Arambasici, Pasticada) featuring ranch-grown produce and vegetarian options.
Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Sinj
Independent arrival in Split (ranch transfer available for a fee).
Optional exploration of Sinj town and Grad Fortress (site of the 1715 victory and traditional Alka games).
Welcome dinner at sunset with ranch-grown food and home-brewed wine.
Day 2: Introductory Ride (3–4 Hours)
Morning ride through Sinj fields, featuring long gallops and swimming with horses in the river.
Adjust horse pairings as needed. Lunch back at the ranch.
Afternoon at leisure by the pool or visiting Sinj.
Day 3: River Cetina & Lake Peruca (5–6 Hours)
Morning gallop along the Cetina River followed by a riverside lunch.
Ride along Roman stone roads across the Bitelic plateau with mountain views.
Pass the stone village of Vucipolje to Lake Peruca for a swim with the horses.
Horses stay at the lake; transfer to the ranch for dinner, wine, and live guitar music.
Day 4: Lake Peruca to Vrlika (6 Hours)
Pack a bag for 3 nights on the trail.
Ride along Lake Peruca with brisk trots, fast gallops, and a river swim.
Cross the river into open fields, arriving in Vrlika.
Overnight and home-cooked traditional dinner in a local family home.
Day 5: Mountain Trail to Drnis (6 Hours)
Climb mountain trails through Maovice for panoramic landscape views.
Descend for lunch, then pick up the pace through vineyards and open land to Drnis.
Overnight at an agriturismo in Drnis center with dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 6: Krka National Park & Visovac Island (3 Hours)
Ride into Krka National Park, ending in Bristane for a farm-fresh lunch and schnapps.
Boat trip to Visovac Island to tour the historic 15th-century Franciscan monastery.
Visit the "Roski Slap" waterfalls (optional swim). Overnight in Bristane.
Day 7: Cikola Canyon & Skradinski Buk (5 Hours)
Ride through the dramatic cliffs and flora of Cikola Canyon with long trots and gallops.
Cross the Cikola River for lunch, then continue through Goris and Konjevrate.
Finish the ride at the "Skradinski Buk" park entrance and transfer back to the ranch.
Afternoon sightseeing at the travertine cascades and waterfalls of Skradinski Buk.
Day 8: Departure
Final group breakfast before departing to Split.

Excellent trip for those looking for fast paced riding and delicious food. Gorgeous countryside and lots of canters, they had a variety of well trained horses that fit into whatever type of horse you were looking for on your trip. Food was never ending and very delicious. Everyone was extremely kind, welcoming and trying to make our stay as wonderful as possible – especially Angela, Bosko and Marco. Really enjoyed the two national park excursions as well. Beware it does get very hot and absolutely bring a swim suit for the numerous swimming opportunities.

The trip was amazing. Bosko and Dijana are incredible hosts, and Marco + Barto were fantastic on the trail. I mentioned I thought my horse had a loose shoe and Barto reshod her during lunch!!! He loves the horses so much, and Marco was a great guide. Safety and horse care were top priority (without feeling stuffy or restrictive!)
We were so well taken care of, and the horses were fab. Bosko and Dijana are truly so kind and thoughtful, and their ranch was absolutely beautiful (with great food!!)
Truly an amazing ride- one of my favs! Already thinking of what next year’s ride will be… 🙂
